Geomorphological Effects of Kathraba/Alaghwar Road by Using GIS

This study deals with the geomorphological effects of Kathraba/Alaghwar road in AlKarak Governorate southern Jordan, intending to clarify which area is exposed, quality engineering facilities and assessing slippage lands, emphasis was placed on Kathraba / Alaghwar road, due its high economic importance great terrain diversity, terms steepness meandering, this done by studying geological topographic maps, satellite images climatic elements that were obtained, using GPS device, GIS software, Google Earth through it, maps sections extracted. The concluded construction affected geomorphology spread cutting filling sites along risk landslides, it found Kathrba falls within a very range. recommended use specialists field geology before starting projects, increasing number hydraulic installations establishing retaining walls areas susceptibility landslides.
